Which versions of Windows does this work on? Was it tested?
Folder Color is built for and tested on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). Both the color-marking and the icon-repair engine are verified against current Windows updates on both versions.
Do I need admin rights to install it?
No. Folder Color installs entirely to your user profile and registers its right-click menu without needing administrator access.
How does the free trial work?
15 days, every feature unlocked, no credit card required. If you don't buy, it uninstalls itself cleanly with nothing left behind.
What happens to my folder colors if I reinstall Windows or sync with the cloud?
Colors are embedded in the folder itself, so they travel with it through Dropbox or OneDrive. Backup & Restore also lets you export every color to one file and restore it after a reinstall.
